Hi everyone!!  It's nice to know when you've been missed.  I hope everyone's doing well.  I dont have much time to go back through the threads to catch up on what's been going on, but I WILL try to get back on more. I assume that by now, a lot of you have reached your goals.  I w...

I agree with others that it is a choice you have to make.  Is it worth getting stalled or, worse yet, gaining!?  If so, then go ahead and indulge.  But if not, keep a picture in your mind of the smaller size you want to be, and go find yourself a nice piece of fruit!! Little Princess,...

Ollie, That's great news.  I have to admit that I have only seen the first 2 programs in that series.  Will have to go on-line and catch up on the shows that follows.  It's wonderful that Jamie is making a difference in those kid's lives that are lucky enough to have him teach them th...

Lizzy,
Congratulations on your 1-year Anniversary.  Isn't LDL wonderful?  I still can't believe how easy it is to lose weight if you stick to the plan.  You are closer to goal than I am, but I know that we will get there.  GREAT JOB !!!!

Ok, I'm "confessing" too!  A new coffee shop serving New Orleans style beignets just opened about a block away from my office about 3 weeks ago.  I have been really wanting to go, but resisted.  Well, Saturday evening, I gave in and went.  I had beignets and cafe-au-lait.  T...

Julie,  Great news on the new Vita-Mix.  I'm sure you felt lost without it if you had one already that wasn't working.  Love that "what's in the fridge" smoothie idea!  Kind of wish I was able to get one of my own (Vita-Mix, not smoothie!!), as I would love to take advantage of y...

I just cast my vote.  Not only do I want to keep those I love safe, I hate to get behind someone that is too busy texting to pay attention to what they are doing.  My daughters will probably not agree with me, though.  (you know who you are!!)

You all are doing so great on this train.  Maybe I should have gotten aboard at the station, but I have this phobia of posting my weight online.  I know, just a number, but its mine!  But I am with you in spirit. RB, thanks for the info on the papaya.  It's one of those things I ...

Linda,

I do the same (saving as a Word document on desktop).  That makes it so easy to share recipes with others that like what I cook!

Joyful Friend, I tried this recipe, but cooked it in my pressure pot instead of crock pot (it has brown setting, then I can pressure-cook it).  I did cook it a little too long, and the broccoli was mushy, but it tasted really good. I then tried a version of this idea.  Instead of the brocc...

Nanlaw,  welcome to LDL.  I know you said you are not a "make in advance" person, but how about if you made a large batch of turkey burgers on weekend and freeze in serving size portions?  That's what I do.  They heat up really well, just as easy as those frozen burgers you like....
