We did loose some before LDL by eliminating MSG and HFCS and eating more beans and whole foods. The weight loss became more dramatic after eliminating the grains. My loss has been over a approx 2 yr period. Have been on LDL about 15 months. Looking back it seems I am loosing at an average 2lb/month rate. Others have done so much better but I have not exercised at all. I went 5 months on LDL before loosing anything. But I was not gaining so I was happy and knowing this plan works, I stayed the course and am so happy I did.

LINDA RN,your rate of losing is a good example of why we shouldn't be jumping on the scale all the time. Also, if you had been impatient about dropping the weight super fast, then you may have gone off plan. Those 51 pounds would still be there. I'm so glad you persevered!

Well I did weigh sometimes daily. Mostly to make sure I was not gaining.
Most if the time I know it is water weight when I do gain, but I want to know what may be causing more.
Just from my own experience, newbies can be assured that you will not gain true weight if you are eating LDL, so it is OK not to weigh.
The occasional days of increase from water weight do go away.
I just look so forward to seeing any decrease I weighed frequently.
However, I usiually avoided the scales until I was "Feeling Skinny"

Re: Eat Until Full to Lose Weight...because all Calories are NOT the Same!
Hello Friends,
So far, I've lost 12 lbs in about 6 weeks. I am delighted to have lost the weight. About a week ago, when my weight loss was about 9 1/2 or 10lbs. I asked my husband to hold a brand new 10lb bag of potatoes. He reluctantly held the heavy bag. Then I stated "That's the amount of weight that I've lost so far." Believe me, that bag of potatoes was heavy. Thanks for the support and encouragement.
I just tried the Hot-apple banana delight. It was good. My favorite is the Tropical Breeze Smoothie. Thanks for the recipes. Please keep them coming.

Re: Eat Until Full to Lose Weight...because all Calories are NOT the Same!
I've lost 17.5lbs. I've been good. I have started using cream in my coffee. I began with fat free. Once that cream is gone, I'm going to try sugar free creamer. I've also started exercising with my new Wii. It's fun. It doesn't seem like work at all. I broke my left leg 7 1/2 months ago. I've been very leary of jogging, lengthy walking etc, due to some pain and fear of doing damage. So far, so good with my jogging, step walking, etc. I'm very determined.
Happy New Year!

Roger Troy Wilson wrote:Welcome to “Let’s Do Lunch…Eating Until Full to Lose Weight…because all Calories are NOT the Same!”
The evolving science of Let's Do Lunch now says that you can eat all the acceptable heavy proteins you want (including lean red meat) whenever you want them, all the unprocessed starchy carbs you want (except for potatoes) whenever you want them, all the sweet fresh fruits you want whenever you want them and all the acceptable soups, salads & veggies you want whenever you want them…and still lose all the weight you want!
All the different beans, lentils, corn, popcorn, corn thins, peas, carrots and sweet fresh fruits (unprocessed starchy & sweet carbs) are harder to digest than processed starchy and sweet carbs, and therefore they stabilize your blood sugar...forcing you to become less hungry and start eating less. And because your body can't tell the difference, when you eat unprocessed starchy and sweet carbs it eliminates your cravings for the processed starchy and sweet carbs.
God bless and enjoy,
Roger Troy
