Seriously LDL --- The Time is Now!!

Well, tomorrow is the first official day of Seriously LDL --- The Time is Now! I hope everyone has gotten themselves ready spiritually, mentally, and physically for this challenge. I was thinking that it is most important to open it up in prayer and ask God to bless us and help us get slender and healthy to better serve Him. I love how Roger states that he believes we are put on earth to have a chance to love the Lord and to help God bless as many other people as possible. So with that in mind,
Father God, You know our hearts, bodies and abilities. You created us to give us the opportunity to know and love You and to use these bodies You gave us for Your glory. We do desire to bless others and encourage others around us to become excellent and reflections of Your glory. We thank You for leading us to this wonderful way of eating we call Let's Do Lunch. Thank You for directing Roger to freely share what You've shown him, so that others could be helped to lose the weight that hinders their lives in so many ways. We ask you to inspire each of us to eat creatively in a way that follows the LDL principles and to remember that we are blessed to have such delicious, colorful and satisfying life giving foods to eat. Help us to keep good attitudes and see the truth about what we eat -- not feeling deprived, like we are missing out by not eating foods that will only make us sick and weak and fat. Instead, we should rejoice that we get to eat delicious fruits, vegetables, beans and lean meats. You have been so good to us and have given to us bountifully. Thank You for the encouragement from our fellow LDLers (those still losing and those at goal) and the help we get from these boards. Now, Father, we are believing You for a great victory for each of us. Help us come to understand just what works for each of us -- since You've created each of us uniquely. We ask for your blessings on our efforts to glorify You in these bodies. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen!
I was thinking that it would be beneficial if each of us took measurements and weighed ourselves tomorrow, and keep this information jotted down somewhere. This is only for your personal use. The day might come when you are discouraged and feeling nothing has happened, because the scale doesn't register a loss. Well, you can check your measurements, which will actually be the more accurate indicator of weight loss. We can report on Mondays the amount of weight lost (or gained) and we can figure how the group is doing individually and in total too. (Also, find a pair of pants that fit snugly and use these to show yourself that you are losing -- when they become looser. )
I'm hoping that each of us will have things to share with the group. Post ways to increase metabolism, recipes, your personal menu for the day, non scale victories, scriptures, positive quotes and whatever might encourage others. We want to keep it honest, positive and helpful. Also, confession is good for the soul, so I know there could be times when you might want to talk about a struggle you are having. This is fine, let's just not let ourselves focus so much on it that we let it defeat us. We will be able to help each other through those struggles, though, so that will be a positive part of it too.
Now, these are my thoughts on it, but please post what you think -- and what I might have missed.
Ready, set ---- begin!!
