Blender cleaning trick

Many of you probably already know this trick, but when I stumbled across it I thought it was just great.  When it's time to clean the blender container, you can let the blender do most of the work.  Fill the container half way with hot water and a squirt of dishwashing detergent.  Then put it on the base and turn on the blender.  It cleans the container for you!  Then all you need to do is rinse it and turn it upside down in the dish rack to dry, ready for its next use.

Yes!  I do this all the time... just a p.s. - if your blender/smoothie maker/vitamix has a spout for pouring... when you rinse the blender out, make sure you release the spout and rinse out anything that's caught in it...
