Hi all,
Found a new product that I really love. Its called Smart Snacks Prunes by Sunsweet. Roger, et.al, please give me your opinions if this is an acceptable food for the program. Here are the ingredients:
. Fat, transfats = 0
. Cholesterol = 0
. Sodium = 0
. Potassium = 190 mg
. Carb = 16 g
. Fiber = 2 g
. Sugars - 8 g
. Protein = 1 g
They are 60 calories for a packet of three. Bag includes 8 packs.
Really tasty, sweet and chewy. They hit the spot.
If anyone thinks these do not fit our protocol, please let me know. Otherwise......enjoy! ;)
Jan

Re: Smart Snacks
We need the ingredients to know, Jan. You've listed the nutritional values. The big issue will be if they have added sugars.

Re: Smart Snacks
We always need to be careful, as a rule I find most dried fruits loaded with regular sugar. Driving back from Northern California yesterday, Delia and I made a stop in the Central Valley at a fruit stand. As Delia loaded up on white peaches, cherries and pluots (part plum, part apricot) I read the labels on the dried fruits and ALL of them were sugared......sigh!
