berries for dinner

Post by snowbirdie »

Hi All.
Well today I planned all day to be naughty and have a very small slice of pizza. My boys wanted a treat so I made it for them I haven't had any since starting ldl. I ate 1 bite . It was revolting! So I had instead about 1 cup of raspberries and blackberries mixed with about 1/2 cup of plain yogurt. Boy was that ever good.

Amazing, isn't it, Judie??  When I wrote to Gwen's daughter, I said,

"It's very difficult to not slip back into eating "comfort foods" when our stress levels are high. I've done it before, but you know, the pendulum effect is bad - those old comfort foods feel good going down, but they make me feel horrible - I actually physically feel bad!"

And your bite didn't even taste good going down!!!  Incredible, isn't it?

right..and not to mention the sense of disappointment in myself and the knowledge i have now that it takes some working up of motivation to really get 100% back on LDL after a slip up (at least for this LDLer)

God bless everyone!

yep...it's evident that you and i think a little differently (or our reasoning or logic is a bit different) from each other...but, hey, that's what makes the world go 'round! No worries..the world won't end if we think differently about things.  How dreadfully boring the world would be if we all thought exactly the same way.

But i know that i'm not the only one who finds it a bit difficult to get back on the LDL horse after falling off.  It's worth it to try to stay on plan rather than to have to try to start over again.  If it gets easier and easier to get back on track, that makes me think that maybe i can have that pasta -- or those belly bomber white castles and be back on plan by the morning!  :-\(i know better than that...going off LDL foods makes me crave more and more bad things and it would take me a while to be back to being a truly compliant LDLer like i am right now.  :-X

It may be that you, RT,  are made of stronger stuff than i am. And it may be that we think somewhat differently, but you are my leader for LDL and I continue to respect you for all you have accomplished and for helping us.

Thanks and God bless.
