Unfortunately, Howard is not available for the part. It seems he's been dead for four years. And if there is going to be "big trouble in River City, it will have to wait until we do "The Music Man" next spring.

...........Can Dexter sing?

ACTUALLY, as music director, the question that needs to be addressed is wether we will follow the old fashion of these movies to dub in the voices...because, if we're NOT, then as DIRECTOR, you will have to RECAST with actors and actresses that can SING......

This is live theatre, there will be live singing, live dancing and live kissing.

So Niki, if we cast Dexter as Curly that would mean Mary will be holding him and staring into his eyes as they sing to each other "People Will Say We're IN Love"......what do you think?

Even if they can't, it would be fun to watch.

OK .. So We have the Wizard of Oz (is that short for ounces) as our first feature .. Followed up by Orka-homa .. then we can either do the Sound of Music or Music Man ....

I am already starting to rewrite some of the songs

For Music Man ...

There’s trouble .. right here in LDL City ..
With a Capital T that rhymes with B that stands for BEANS !! .. (because many of us make our own music when we eat beans)

For the Sound of Music there is ..

Eating lean protein, and nice healthy carbs
loosing weight safely, and talking about God
Going on the message board, and talking about beans
These are a few of my favorite things
Tom

Philippians 4:13 - I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me

Matthew 22:36-40

“Nothing I will ever eat will give me the feeling I get when I lose weight”

Tom, I laughed out loud when I read this!

This was my solo when I was in choir many moons ago, and has been a song that I have raised my kidlets on! They still ask me to sing it sometimes, and they are respectively 20 & 15. Your version is awesome! LOL!
