Since I do not want to be a lurker, I will tell u that this book is a godsend to me..... and my husband.  We started Sunday and this is awesome!  This is just like our God to show up and show out.  I have bought First Mag b4, and I bought this one for the article on the right - "Cure for jiggly Fat", as I am going on a cruise in July and I do not want the cottage cheese (cellulite) to be out.  LOL  I need to lose a min. of 50 lbs.

This is God's grace, as I opened the magazine, I read the title ..... "Melting 79% more fat" and I laughed and said, yeah right.  I put the book down then came back to it later to read the other article, however this story was b4 the other story.  Ok I said, I read it and couldn't believe it, then I gave it to my sweetie (who can be a pessimist sometimes) to read.  Instead of laughing at me, he said, ok honey get the book. (with no coercion)

I am trying to be brief here and summarize it all.  I ordered the book on LDL website on 5/22, it arrived on 5/30 per USPS but I did not receive it, because it got lost?  Ha Ha  We were ready to start but wanted that book!  I talked with the postmaster on 6/3 and was told to give it a week.  I have never had anything to get lost in the mail that I know of.  I posted here and Mr. Wilson called me and that encouraged me.  Thank you!!

The book appeared in my mailbox on (Fri) 6/5.  Thank God for giving me patience because we were checking that box everyday!!  We bought our groceries Sat. nite and started LDL Sun 6/7.  AS OF THIS DAY WE ARE HAPPILY LOSING.  I do not need to weigh myself as my face and my pants are my evidence and the way I feel with more energy.  I will post again very soon to tell my beginning weight and how many lbs I need to lose.  Praise God!  This is our new lifestyle of eating.  Yahoooo

Yes, I too purchased the First magazine at my local grocery store.  I usually purchase the magazine once or twice a year.  While at the checkout, I noticed the headline of losing 12lbs in a week and of course being the 'diet junky' that I am, I purchased the magazine.  Thank God I did, the article got me motivated to do something about my 'Fat Body'!!  I have always had a weight problem and have tried every DIET know to man/woman.  The article really made sense to me and since I do like fruits & veggies better than meat, this sounded too good.
Boy, I am in Love with this plan for life!!  It is really easy to follow and boy of boy, so much to eat and I don't have any 'Bad Cravings' so far.
This is my third week and I am now doing what Niki said about just putting on pants/shorts instead of weighing myself every week.  I do like to see numbers, but I know the scale can be deceiving at times, ie; muscle weighs more and water retention.

Thank God for RT and his faith in God to help us all. *love* *love*

I also found LDL through First Magazine. I am not one to buy magazines since we can just get them at the Library for Free. However, I was at Giant Eagle picking up some odds and ends for a get together for my Health and Wellness business that evening and the Headline of "Drop 12 Pounds Every Week" grabbed my attention! Having been on this weight roller coaster my whole life (it's worse now after having two babies back to back), things like this tend to catch my attention. Normally I don't even pick up these magazines b/c I have tried so many crazy diets before and I'm tired of them! However,  I picked it up (Completely God!), took a quick peek & tossed it on the conveyor belt. That night while I was lying in bed I read the article, wow, I was amazed. The next day I got online and ordered the book. I am now a very happy LDLer!

I had already been changing the way I live & the way my family lives, using all natural, non-toxic cleaners, personal care products & vitamins & minerals, so I decided it was time for me make my WHOLE self healthy! Also, for me, if I'm standing in front of people talking to them about how to make their homes safer and healthier and their bodies healthier & happier, it's only right that I'm working on making my body healthier & happier as well!!

I've been living LDL for 11 days now and have been doing AWESOME! My husband is amazed at how well I'm doing and my mom told me today that I'm her inspiration! I'm not saying it's completely easy all the time, but With GOD all things ARE Possible!!

Thank you to all of you LDLer's who are so very supportive and helpful to everyone! You are all truly my inspiration, and I'm thanking God for bringing me to all of you!

In Him,
Tina K.

Hi Y'all,
Having fallen off the wagon for the umteenth time, my eyes had been peeled for months looking for help getting back on (the wagon).

I picked up a copy of First magazine at the end of May when I was at the grocery checkout one day. What caught my eye was the phrase "Get Rid of Giggly Fat" on the cover which was in reference to another article about leaky gut syndrome. After reading the leaky GI article, I read the LDL article and decided the LDL diet sounded better than the leaky gut diet. I was very impressed with Julie because I am also a mother of six children. I enjoy reading about people who make their home in Florida so I enjoyed reading Mary's interview as well. I was also impressed with her chef training and her endorsement of the LDL diet. The other testimonials in the article were inspiring also. The weight loss they reported sounded good to me too!

Yours,
Sarah Davis (aka Chatsy)

P.S. First magazine only costs $2.50 which I do not mind paying for a magazine, although I was not aware of its existence before that day.

I was looking for  another diet book( you know the one on t.v.) where they are exercising for 5-10 hours and losing 10Pd's a week.with a trainer..I was just going to read it...Saw RT book did not get any books that day.The very

next while @ the store I saw the first Magazine I've not been picking up, because of  money..But it was calling my name *evil* I read it and thought...Here I go again, one that sounds like me.So put it down and not pick it for aw eek.

Then while cleaning for the weekend and going to throw it away. Something told me to reread it again I thought no!just throw it away!!well I sat it on the table for only god knows why. three days later something told me to reread it. I thought theirs got to be something for my grandchild..she Autistic..THE lord and I already talked about

this many times..So I reread with much dread. Will go more into my life with Autistic children that I have worked with for about 15yrs now..Been on over load lately fighting  schools and programs for these angels..did not want any more opinions @ this time...BUT HE KEPT ON ME..all I could find was the LDL  plan I already had a fruit drink in which I added protein powder in so I thought ok ok ..so now seen twice just a little time. Got on line and read the post then started posting and got hooked...IT IS SO ME.. Lost 15 Pd's in one week have a sick relationship with the scale it took me three more weeks to lose more weight..while putting the scale in the closet. Now @ 31 days loss 15.8 pds and scale in closet I'm ready to try for 30 days of no scale and rereading the book for my third time.MAYBE  *evil* *evil* *evil* *evil* *evil*.I really don't know if I'm ready yet for no weighing in @ least once a week *evil* *evil* *evil* *evil* *evil*. :rose:

Hi!
I was at the checkout at Wal-Mart and was looking through the magazines.
I had never purchased "First" before, but the article caught my eye so I bought it.
(We just had a baby 4 months ago, and I REALLY gained).
I read it when I got home and had my husband read it when he got home. It sat on our dining room table for 2-3 days open to that article.
We decided to go ahead and go to the bookstore and buy the book.
We got the last copy. We started the program 12 days ago and have decided that it was the best $22.95 we have spent!
I've lost 9 pounds, my husband has lost 5. Heartburn is gone, his apnea is starting to go away. We are both finding that we have more energy and less headaches!
It's a great feeling to have people comment that I'm looking like I've lost weight.
We're both bery grateful for this book!

I read the article (the magazine was left here by a visitor).  I went right out and bought the last copy available of the book in stock here in the East Bay (San Francisco).  I started it that day and have been doing  it for about a week now.  Thank God for the article.  I am on my 3rd round of losing baby weight and usually it is pretty easy.  This time I was having a hard time staying motivated, until now.

I frequently buy the First magazine, but I have never felt so led to do the diet. It just seemed like something I could really do. God had already told me sugar was killing me, but I didn't know how to get over the cravings. I was also so impressed by the people on the message boards that I wanted to be apart of the LDL family.
Thanks, Debra

Hello,
I am brand new and on day 2 of the LDL! I am here because of the article in First magazine. I have bought it from time to time but not recently. Also I have seen many articles before on weight loss or different diets but after I read the article I felt like I had to buy the book and learn more. It didn't even take me a day to read it once I got it though.
Wish me luck!

I hardly ever buy First magazine.  Although, almost every magazine on the racks has an article or picture of someone on a weight loss program, I don't usually notice any particular weight loss article. When I noticed First magazine article and I decided to take a look at it,  though I didn't buy it at that time.  Instead I checked into the website when I got home. I guess it was a mistake not to buy the magazine at that time, because now I am unable to find a copy of it anywhere (I would have liked to have read the article more thoroughly.)  But, I just received the book from the website and am looking foward to getting started.  It was because of the fact that Roger talked about his faith and how the Lord had lead him to this way of life (and the fact that he donates all proceeds) that showed me that the Lord was leading me down this path.  :)

i too found this in the magazine.   i'm not sure why i felt like i had to come on the board and check it out.  i buy first and womans world often...so to pick this to check out was kind of out of character for me.  i have done a few diets in the past...of course falling off because i wanted (what i know now) bad carbs.  i think using the examples about craving pizza, chips, and burgers was nice...i am a sucker for pizza...as well as i've always said i could live on soup.  so pizza soup...duh!  everything just made sense...kwim?!

I am someone who joined do to the First Mag.  I never buy that Mag.  EVER...  I have been trying to lose weight for 1 year.  Gaining 45 lbs in 2 years.  Freaking out about what to do to get it off.  I have never been this way before, why now.. What to do, what to do, what to do.... lol.  The last 30 lbs I gained was all in the last 6 months on diets, and not the see food diet.. lol..  I was spending $155.00 every 12 days on diet pills.  Working out at the gym and getting bigger and bigger.

Finally, walking thru the check out, I spotted  DROP 12LBS EVERY WEEK.  I thought ya right, but what do I have to lose.  I picked the mag. up, threw it in the cart and continued home.  I didn't read the mag for a few days. Then I remembered I had bought a mag.  So I found it, and read it, and I read it every day.  It sits on our table.  I have had to tape the mag. together.  That is how much I read it.  lol..  I have lost over 6 inches all over my mid range.  I have lost weight too.  Just not getting on scale till June 30.

God, heard my cry, and he answered by showing me a magazine article, and it works.. AMEN...

I also heard about LDL because of the article in First Magazine.  My secret sister at Church had gotten me a subscription and I've really enjoyed it.

It was weird the day that I found LDL and I know that it was God working in the situation.
I'd put the magazine in my bag because there never seems to be time to read all the things that you need to read.
I had a doctor's appointment that day with a specialist because I'd had 2 months of coughing and gravelly voice following that bad upper respiratory/bronchitis that was going around in late Feb./March.  My 11 year old son and I had both been sick in bed for more than 2 weeks with it but, for me, the coughing, sore throat did not end.  My doc had done blood tests and a lung xray, then sent me to the specialist.  That's where I was that day.
I'd been sitting there waiting reading about LDL with great interest.
Then after the doctor did breathing tests on me, she came up with a surprising conclusion.
Here the GP had told me that it may be serious... but she thought that it was a type of relux ...
and she really thought it because it had started when we were laying down and much of what
we ate was chicken soup-- and liquidy stuff.
She thought that some of my stomach acid had seeped up and had burned my larynx... lovely...

She recommended that I not eat a meal within 4 hours of laying down, cut out caffeine, and that I eat more fruit and
light things that take less digesting...  Whoa!  Sound Familiar???
I showed her the article.  She said that if I did that type of approach that my voice may come back to normal.  She gave me a presciption for an antacid to put me on my way but the insurance company refused that one, opting for a less expensive one.

I had my 3 week check up after the appointment recently.  She was thrilled by my progress and that I'd done all of the things that she recommended....  Hey, they were all LDL things!  She'd thought that since have been taking a lesser medication than she'd wanted that she may need to increase the dose but that's not needed and will probably be discontinued soon.

So that's how I came to LDL through our Lord, the First article and a doctor's appointment....

I am here because of the First article. I had a subscription. Which since than has ended. I was so excited when I read it. I started the 1st week in May. To date I have lost 17 lbs. My daughter is getting married  *love* next Saturday and I feel this was a blessing. I needed to lose weight for it but just couldn't find the strength. I have never been this heavy. I have always played with 20 lbs back and forth but this was almost 40 lbs.... My son got a divorce almost 2 years ago and it put me in a downward spiral. I have been divorced and didn't want him to go through it. He has a beautiful little girl (my angel) and I knew it would be tough on her. So my comfort was food everything all the time. I wasn't hungry when I ate just ate. I didn't get on the scale just bought bigger clothes. When I finally got on the scale I about had a heart attack. I feel so much better now. I love the smoothies for breakfast. I am not hungry all morning. This is a God send. Thanks to RT....  I have told so many people about this. I know my friend at the other office has bought the book too.

I quite often purchase First magazine but felt very drawn to this one although it was another article that caught my eye originally. The LDL article was something I found a few days later while looking for a recipe. Indeed. God works in mysterious ways.
