Wither-  love to have you join the race.  I will look for your post on Monday. This is going to be fun.

RB - it is going to be tough picking just one to cheer for. You might just the under dog (snoopy  *woot* ). Hint hint. Have fun with it.

Wither,
Guess you and I will race then, as so far, I have lost very slowly.

Linda, guess we could bring up the rear. I have been losing only about a lb a month sometimes 2, but not often! It's good to know I won't get lonely. I thought this might give me the push I need! Glad you are joining, I read your posts all the time and enjoy them. I see you are from okla. My husband grew up in okla and most of his brothers and sisters still live there. We live in Escondido,ca. About 30 miles north of San Deigo,ca. My daughter is also a nurse[ICU] in San Deigo, for over 15 years, so I know how hard you guys work! Well, happy racing and keep in touch.....Wither

Linda - it sounds like your in too.  I just need a weigh date and your current weight.  This is a fun way to keep motivated.  It is hard to slip when you have so many people who want you to loose (the good way).  I suggest go week by week and maybe you will loose more than just one pound a month.

Doodle - COOL - we got our second cheerleader.

Deborah D. - Welcome aboard to this amazing race on the caboose.  It looks like you are at the same winter stall that I was on.  It is time to break this and slide down the mountain.  I pumped and ready to go.

Don't worry DD -- our bodies naturally retain 3 pounds of fluid as protection against dehydration when the weather starts warming up.  It stinks, but it's nothing you did wrong  :)

Gwen I don't think so....read my journal Deborah D, and you will see what happened last night...but I don't feel like I am heaver then before is what I mean.....I let myself eat some junk last night while baking stuff for a funeral....then remembered I had not eaten anything but breakfast....and this snacking was going on at 10:30 or 11:00 at night......thank God it was only a little bit of snacking before I ate some fruit or the weight could have been higher....

Nah -- it's impossible for a few crumbs to make you gain 3# overnight -- unless you ate three pounds of crumbs!!! LOL

AGain, it's nothing you did wrong.  Just a normal fluctuation in the scale.  That's the problem.  The scale LIES!

We have to focus on the other measures of success.  For example, how to do you feel after losing this weight so far?  Would you have been able to forget about food for 18 hours before LDL?  Pre-LDL, would you have had the stamina to put in the kind of day you did yesterday?  I didn't think so!!!  :)

Thanks Gwen point taken....and the answer to the question is no I did not eat 3 lbs of crumbs just a few crumbs, and a few chocolate chips and chopped pecans pieces....then I realised what I was doing and stopped and ate some fruit....and your right about not being able to go without eating so long before LDL or having the energy to do all I had to do yesterday and get it done....even tho it took until 1:00 AM this morning....I was back up at 7:30 going again....and got all the food delivered for the funeral and before time.....and after going for the last day and a half...I still feel wonderful and have the energy to clean the house.  I cleaned the kitchen last night after I finished putting all the food together....did not want to wake up to a dirty kitchen....

Gwennaford  where did you get the picture of my pink caboose.  I would love it on my profile.  Can you do it.
RBKayaking
You can always cheer for the clown.

It is so great to have more to race with.  What fun it will be.
