New addition to the HOT PINK CABOOSE

Post by Clown Lady »

According to my records there are about 18 in the race on the loose caboose.  Some of the umph is not there and some of you are hanging in the wings like me.  So here is what is happening in my Caboose.
I am adding a second floor to the Caboose.
Ground Floor is where we check in and get updates on the race.
BUT the upstaris is now for friendly chats and I will again be serving Tea or water.  It will have a beautiful view of our travels and I will keep everyong posted on what we are sightseeing in that week.
Come up for some Twinings Black Tea with berry today

As a matter of fact I am enjoying tea right now. Unfortunately it is Superdieters Tea. The watermelon is no longer keeping me moving () except as a diueretic. I was doing real good for a while until I thought the popcorn or beans may be causing the pain in my foot. Ruled out the peanut butter  :poo: Hadn't had any in over a week. Pain subsided and then has flared twice after eating corn thins plain with nothing on them. I may do popcorn this weekend anyway. I am still maintaining and I want to start dropping again. So the tea will help and hopefully the popcorn. Think I will drink more tea this weekend. Tried some flavored stevia liquid from the Health Food Store. Bought Cinnamon for coffee. Ugh  Just can't do the stevia in coffee, but it does taste OK in tea so I got the lemon flavored for the tea.

How's things going with you Donna? Still wondering about the sweet corn you are selling. You growing it? We have not had much success growing it here due to bugs and worms and don't want to use pesticides. Experimented planting some of the popcorn we have been buying. Planted late, just before all the rains hit so not even sure if it is coming up yet.

Thanks for offering the time and space to chat (and tea). You at the Farmer's Market today?

Farmers market we only do on Mon Wed and Fri.  As for the corn we are now out of it and when we sell it we garentee a worm in every ear.  Some little ladies I have to de worm the corn for them.  They are so cute.  We do have some that are planting a fall crop of corn.  You still have time for it to make before the frost.  Hope for the right water.
As for the popcorn thing.  I just don't know what to say.  I am not a everyday eater of corn thins.  But I do like them and I do popcorn quite offen.  Popcorn keeps me from eating wrong as it is usually the crunch or the chewing that I am looking for.  If I can just keep busy I don't think about food.
I am sewing my DH a new shirt today.  With his health problems his middle won't go down so I need to make him some new shirts and he has several I made that he likes.  He tells me to use scraps from around the house well the shirt is squares of gold and burgandy with maple leafs all over it.  Loud and wild.  He will wear it.

I am not really willing to give up the popcorn. If it is the cause, I may cut back but will just endure. If it is specifically the corn thins, that would be OK. I can just eat messy popcorn.

Too hot here in OK to grill. Too many mosquitos after all the rains too, but in a week or so we can fire it up again.

I don't care for tea but I'd definitely like a tall glass of water with ice and some company. I work with kids 6 days out of 7 and sometimes the only adults I see are their tired parents and the ladies at curves. I think that's why I forgot how to talk to adults. I love kids but everybody needs to get away sometime. I've been doing daycare for 35 years. That's a lot of kids.

Missdonna
Reading your post really brought back memories.  My first business was a day care about 20 years ago.  I used to say the same thing about not being able to talk to adults after spending so much time conversing with the kids.  I loved doing it but I have to admire you for doing it so many years I only made it around 6 yrs.  My husband used to have to remind me he wasn't one of my children I cared for.LOL
