Family Reunion

It was great family gathering at a local park. Even as hot as it was, a breeze came through the shelter house. Luscious hamburgers and hotdogs were grilled with all the trimmings. Each family brought covered dishes. I fixed plenty of LDL foods.(Fresh corn, sugar snap peas, Lima beans, old fashioned fruit salad) I even had a big watermelon iced down if we needed it. Country Girl and a niece fixed some. My plate was loaded down with goodness. My salad bowl contained blck bean salad. My nephew said, "Aunt W, I think you over did it." Before I could answer, my DH said, "She eats like this every day, and then she has two snacks." LOL. I am so thankful for God's bountiful WOE. "Skinny feels better than any food tastes." Thanks again, Roger' for this WOE. My scale told me it worked, and I felt wonderful. No additives to make me feel badly.

Ollie, thanks. I have heard of many who are doing it with success. That makes me so happy. I have my DH's sister and her daughter here all week. They said I am the smallest they have ever seen me. His niece is reading the book right now. I still eat a lot of food, but LDL. I had baked steak for dinner. I fixed mine without flour, but in with the other. I dumped two cans of mushrooms and onion over mine. I put two cans and onions mixed in the gravy over the rest. Mine was delicious. I stopped and got fresh corn. It was the best of the season. I fixed them a baked potato. Melon for dessert. They were offered cookies, but preferred melon. I think I may have two new converts.

Good for you, JF
I have 2 bring-a-dishes this weekend (Sat & Sun). Sat. I'm taking a Mandarin Salad (Romaine lettuce, sugar-free mandarin oranges drained, red onions, almonds (can be picked out for LDL) and and oil-vinegar-Splenda dressing. Sunday I'm making my Confetti Salad (1# bag frozen mixed veggies thawed, chopped sweet onion, chopped celery, chopped red pepper and Walden Farms Sugar-free, carb-free, fat-free Ranch dressing). I'll try to watch the rest of what I eat.

Hi, Karen. I just found the sugar-free oranges at either Meijers (it's a Michigan, Ohio store) or it may have been WalMart. It is Del Monte No Sugar Added. It has Sorbitol (sugar alcohol), Acesulfame Potassium, and Sucralose (Splenda). I don't use them often, just for this salad since it's easy to make and take and good.
Hi, JF. I have been here a bit. A little reading, but not much posting. Still sticking to LDL. I do feel better on LDL than when I stray. I'll try to be here more often.
