Yes, that's it. The newer models have 3 sets of blades in the larger pitcher.

I think the one with 3 sets of blades is the pro model.  I saw it at sam's club.  i am still using the older model and i am still loving it.  do you know the recipe for the ice cream?

That's odd that you say the Master prep you have has 2 (2 sets but actually 4 blades) blades in the pitcher, because I thought it had 3 sets of blades or 6 blades in all.  The regular Ninja has 4 blades.  I have a regular and it works fine, but one day I'd like to get the Master Prep.  It is probably a bit faster.

The Ninja Master Prep is the original with 2 sets of blades. The Ninja Master Prep Pro is the newer one with 3 sets of blades

I have been using the Magic Bullet to mix my smoothies.  I need to upgrade and am thinking about getting the Ninja.  Do I need to get this smaller Ninja or get the 1100 that I am seeing on TV and on QVC?  I'd like to most bang for my buck so to speak.  I also don't have a lot of counter space so I need to think about that as well.  Thanks.

Here is the smaller Ninja that Roger mentioned. It has 2 blades.

Here is a nicer one that has 3 blades and different size containers. I started with the cheaper one and eventually upgraded to this one.

My favorite smoothie.....1 frozen orange, 1 frozen banana, 1/2 cup orange juice, a little vanilla, and a pack of stevia.
