Re: Happy Birthday Lori (Stl Viewer)
Thank you, Guys! It's the big 5-8. Where does the time go?
BTW, I have discovered in the last 4 months that my high blood pressure has dropped enough to stop (per doctor's orders, of course) the 10mg of Lisinopril I was taking.
What's weird is that I started taking 5mg about 8-9 years ago, and to be honest, I wasn't heavy then. Of course, my HBP continued to climb over the years, especially as I put on weight. I've been on 10 mg for several years now.
So how come suddenly my BP has improved? Certainly it's not like the stress in my life has decreased any. All I can think of is that maybe -maybe- along with losing weight, it's the 99% removal of grain from my diet? Or the addition of more fiber (all the fruits and veggies)? All of the above?
I guess it could be something else, too, but what? Whatever, I attribute the improvement to LDL. :-)

Hubby had the same thing happen to him.
He is off Lisinopril after taking it for 20 something years.
According to Dr. Davis (a Cardiologist) it is the elimination of the grains...particularly the wheat.
Of course the addition of all the other whole foods helps also.
