I just got the new book, and am a new member of the forum. Am I remembering this incorrectly? The book says you do not eat shellfish due to scriptures in the Bible. Is this a change now? Maybe I am missing an update, though.

Very good. I don't eat shellfish typically but have no particular reason to not eat it. I had a number of pages of extra book when I ordered the book. I was wondering if there was a change to that thinking. I understand now.

I actually started LDL before I got the book, based on this forum. So far, I'm down 13 pounds in about 1.5 months. I can see maybe 10 or so of that in water retention. Yet, it is good news for me as I find this a really easy way to eat. I do have a really hard time eating dinner at lunch....and usually either eat an all vegetarian day or else eat protein only for the dinner meal. I'll see how that goes.

Roger Troy Wilson wrote:Hi bearish. Shellfish are fine, from a weight loss standpoint. That said, I believe The Bible says to Not eat them...probably because they are unhealthy to eat, because they are bottom feeders...eating stuff you wouldn't want to know about.

That said, our daughter turned Catholic when she got married, and therefore she and her family eat shellfish whenever they want...and when they come to our home, because they Love crab legs and lobster, we buy those foods to please them.

That said, we Never buy shellfish other than to please our company.

God bless and enjoy,

Roger Troy
