there are SO many women here with thyroid disease......i didn't notice that this thread continued to grow....i had to go back and look on the medical success section to find where i started a thread for thyroid disease...

i was the one who originally asked for the medical success boards and i originally set it up so that everyone posting on a particular disease would continue each individual thread so that someone coming on the boards could easily find all the info here on that particular disease...it didn't work that way...but, you can see that type 2 diabetes has 7360 hits which is tremendous and tells you how many diabetics look into let's do lunch....
i took synthroid and levoxyl without a problem...once i was put on medication, i was able to lose the 40 pounds i had gained..............but, my problem arose when i became symptomatic again on it and gained that SAME 40 pounds back by the time i found a dr who would prescribe armour thyroid....that's what i'm on now and i'm much better.......
my story and thyroid disease are so intertwined, i'm going to link to my story..........

Hi Tina,
I'm sure that the ability to eat all the fruit we want satisfies my sweetooth!  Plus the beans! We can't forget that nasty bread and pasta craving that the beans blast away!!!  *woot*

Thanks Julie for your story.  That gives me back some of the hope that my doctor tried to take from me.  Thanks to all of you...I'll keep you posted.  This will be my first full week on LDL.  Anything that will help me curve my tastes for bread and sugar, I'm all for it!  God be with all of you.

Take care,

Tina
