Tuna Salad

Post by nana thomas »

Have not tried this yet..but going to

2(6oz.) cans light tuna packed in water
1/2c white bean puree
1/4c mayo (I will use less)
2 stalks celery, finely chopped or grates up (about 3/4c)
1/4t chili powder,or to taste
1/4t sweet paprika
1/4 garlic powder
1/2t salt
1/8t pepper

Drain tuna well..then put into bowl and break up with a fork
Fold in pureed white beans and mayo.
Then stir in celery and seasonings

One serving of this salad provides 21 grams of lean, high-quality protein and a good amount of B vitamins
Make salad with light rather than white tuna..because white tuna has been shown to contain high levels of mercury

Enjoy.......

This looks good, nana! It's similar to Tori's Tuna & Vegetable salad; but her's doesn't contain any mayo. This one doesn't have much and it sounds really good. I'll let you know when I try it!  :)

Interesting combo of tuna and chili powder.
