Buffalo Style Pizza - In time for Superbowl

Post by str1ne »

Just in time for the big game, I figured out a buffalo style Pizza.

Mash 8oz (1/2 can) drained garbanzo's into 1/2 pound ground chicken
add 1/2 tsp crushed garlic and a 1/2 tsp cayenne pepper.

Mix thoroughly and spread out like a pizza base in pyrex pie pan.
Bake 10 mins @ 400F on top shelf (slight browning)

Drain any juices, then top with Red Hot sauce (LDL approved) and 2 tsp lowfat feta crumbles
Bake top shelf another 8-10 minutes.

Cut into slices and serve hot.

Thanks Roger.

You can also make a similar pizza base with 100% hamburger, 1/2 can garbanzo beans, Italian Seasoning and Garlic powder. Bake for 10-12 minutes then top with tomato sauce, fresh veggies and F/F mozzarella (sparingly) plus a little feta.

Thanks for creating a place that we can share ideas.

Peter

I love pizza. I haven't had it in a while. I'd love to try the garbanzo bean/hamburger pizza base. Sounds fun.
