New weight loss results
Well today was weigh-in day. This is my third month weigh-in. First month 7 pounds, second month 2 pounds (kinda disappointed), third month 6 pounds. A total of 15 pounds. I'm so excited. Thank you Lord, thank you RT, and thank you LDL friends who are so encouraging and helpful. Hope you are all having a wonderful Resurrection Day! Jerrie

Re: New weight loss results
Jerrie,
Nice job on your total weight loss  . Like you, I didn't have a lot of weight to lose so I would like to take this opportunity to tell you that I lost about the same amount of weight you did my first three months. But then my weight loss was between 2 and 4 pounds for the rest of the months (6 months total) it took me to reach my goal weight. The reason I am telling you this is if you start to lose smaller amounts of weight each month don't get discouraged. The weight will come off, but more importantly, your body will start re-sculpting itself. My upper thighs (my worst place to lose inches) got smaller without my bust losing inches (normally the first place I lost weight). And I ended up losing three pounds more than my goal weight. I now am wearing size 6 - 8 instead of a very tight size 12 for almost two years. I still follow the LDL guidelines from Roger's red book and continue to make and eat a hearty, filling LDL lunch each and every day.
Happy Eating.

Re: New weight loss results
Jerrie -- my goal was 40 lbs. too and I ended up losing 50 lbs. in about 6 months. The best part about LDL is that if you continue to follow it, your body will lose until you are at the weight it wants to be. You won't lose too much. I think that I thought I only needed to lose 40 lbs. because I couldn't imagine ever being back down to my high school weight. At over 50 yrs. old, I just figured I'd be more than happy if I could lose 40 lbs. This way of eating is amazing. That's why I call it a livet instead of a diet -- you really can live with it.

Re: New weight loss results
Cameron - thank you for the nice words and the congrats on my weight loss.
Crickadoodle and VickyLynn:
Thank you for the encouragement. It is so exciting that both of you have even lost more than you intended. You have both done great! How many diets are out there where people actually lose more weight than they every intended to...not too many, I'm sure. It sounds like on this "livet" you basically lose as much as you want to (and even more ) as long as you stick with it. Thanks for sharing your tips and thanks VickyLynn on the heads-up on the possibility of slower weight loss the longer you are on this "livet". It seems like the longer I'm on this "livet", the easier it is to stay on it. With all the good food, I just don't care to have the junk food. Thanks again for the encouragement.

Re: New weight loss results
Thanks Jo....that's what counts, that you are back on plan. You've lost the weight before, and you can do it again. This way of eating makes it so easy, as you get to eat so much good stuff, that stops your cravings for the bad stuff. This has been the easiest diet (livet) ever for me, and I've been on many diets in my 53 years!...lol....glad you are back on plan...you can do it! Jerrie
