Sixth Week - Still 17 down. Waylaid by the flu bug!

Post by MNGirl »

You'd think the stomach flu would make you lose weight, not gain it. And it did - until I started recouperating and was very hungry. I had some red meat (stupid) and it is feels like it is just sitting somewhere in my midsection. But even though the scale number is not down, my clothes are even looser and I am still the lowest I have been in years. My sugar cravings are gone although grains/breads are still a temptation. This next week will be a good one, though. I hope to lose 2 - 3 pounds. If its only 1, well, its still moving down and I feel good!

I know you know how to get rid of those cravings -- more beans, peas, corn!  And any weight loss, even a tenth of a pound, is a weight loss.  Make sure you are eating until full/stuffed because sometimes reducing the amount we eat actually makes our body think it is in starvation mode and won't let us lose any more weight.
