Well, I've now been on LDL for 2 full months.  I lost 6 more pounds this month, for a total of 24 pounds gone for good.  I was hoping to lose a little more than that this month, but the scale says what it says.  I'm thankful for any progress, no matter how small. I was stuck on a mini-plateau for about 10 days this month, and then the scale started moving slowly downwards again.  I'm still trying out new recipes, and eating a fair amount of food, so I'm not feeling deprived or anything.

On to Month 3!  Bring it!  I'm ready  :D

Congratulations on the additional 6 pounds.  I feel that I haven't lost as much this month but I'll let every one know on the 8th. Keep the faith Hork.

I had been weighing myself almost every morning (I know, I know, Roger says not to, but the Engineer in me needs results & measurements, you know?)  The scale certainly doesn't move in anything approaching a straight line, if I was to chart out my weight loss, it would have lots of zig-zagging  (lose a couple, gain one back, stall for a few days, lather rinse repeat).  I was a couple of pounds lighter 2 days ago, but I'll get there again.

My next mini-goal is to hit "Three-derland".  I'm almost there, lol!

Weight readjust itself, so you may be dropping inches instead of lbs.  You know LDL works.  I weigh quite often myself.  I like to see results, but I never let the scale not moving down discourage me, because I was food satisfied.  :D Joyful Friend

Congratulations for a great Month!  Any loss is a great loss.  As long as it is not a gain.  Right?
Enjoy the ride!  I am.

Ok, so it took a few days longer than I thought it would, but this morning I hit "Three-derland" on the scales!
399 pounds!  No more "4 Hundred something..." for a weight.  Never again!  It was a nice way to start off a Monday morning.  :)    It's not an official monthly weigh-in, but I've now discarded (permanently!) 31 pounds since starting this wonderful Way of Living last March.

I think Monday mornings have been nice to me lately because I've had a little more energy the past couple of weeks, and have taken advantage of that by catching up on some overdue yardwork & mulching on the weekends.
I'm tired, but it is a good kind of tired, and I'm getting lots of little projects "Done!" around the house that have been needing my attention.  They had been accumulating, but I'm slowly chipping away at the pile, knocking things off the to-do list one at a time.

The house & yard looks better, I look better, I certainly feel better, the clothes are fitting looser, even my *shoes* feel better.  My wife is doing well on LDL, her blood sugar numbers are pretty good in the mornings, her doctor has had her reduce one of the diabetes meds she is taking, and she is slowly but steadily losing weight as well.  My youngest daughter has even lost a couple of pounds since we've all started eating this way.  She's going to be a freshman in High School next year, and I'm confident that she'll be feeling better about herself and have lots of confidence as she heads off to a new school next Fall.

Take care & God Bless,
Horkster
