First month weigh in - I'm down 18 pounds! Hallelujah!

Post by Horkster »

Hey All,

In keeping with formal rigid LDL policy of only weighing in on a monthly basis   (that's a joke, I've been
unofficially weighing myself practically every day so far, since it's been good news!  ) I'm pleased to
report that my official first month tally is:
18 pounds shed!  *woot*
Hopefully forever!!!   *woot*  Woo-hoo, time to update the sig file!

I've also seen my blood pressure numbers starting to drop and approach normal (actually had one glorious day where
I was BELOW that elusive 120/80 mark, a whole day!) which is encouraging.  And I'm punching new smaller holes
in my belts, trust me, THAT is always a welcome occasion.

I'm just so happy, I feel good, the scale is moving, I'm losing inches, I'm getting healthier, my wife is joining me  *hug*, she can
actually cook  , my kids like some of the recipes  , the birds are singing, Christ is Risen, I feel like I have some control over my body for the first time in a long time, Spring is springing.  Can y'all tell I'm having a Good Day today?

Take care, and God Bless,
Horkster

I have gone back to read your post several times -- it makes me so happy!  I continually bless the day the Lord brought Roger Troy and Anita into my home to share this program that has saved my life!!!

The weight loss on the scale is a marvelous thing.  AND you have already noticed the many other measuable and immeasuable benefits -- lower BP, smaller belts, feeling happy, feeling GOOD, feeling in control, sharing with your family, and praising God for making it all possible.

YOU, my new friend, have given your family two priceless gifts:  The gift of long life and health on Let's Do Lunch, AND a husband and father who will be around for a long, long time!

Keep up the good work!

I'm so happy - I wish there were little bluebird icons to flutter around the page!

Thank you Gwen for your lovely words...  I was starting to get a little discouraged, since the scale had been stuck for a couple of weeks (I know, I know, we are only supposed to weigh ourselves monthly, but I can't help myself, I've gotta know NOW!    )  But the scale starting nudging to the left again, and I'm down about 25 pounds now.  WooHoo!  I just hung in there, kept eating LDL, and kept the prayers going to God to give me the time and patience necessary to lose all this weight.  I've still got a long way to go, but I'm in here for the long haul, God-willing!

Hork  430/405/215

PS:  The wife says she's down about 6 pounds already after starting LDL.  She feels the difference too, says she feels much better after starting this diet, it's like she *knows* this is the right way to eat and lose weight for her.  Praise the Lord!

I am so happy for you and your wife that you are moving down on the scales.  Keep doing LDL and you will see the numbers you are looking for.

Yeah, I think my wife is a keeper...  :inlove:  I gave her a hug this morning, and I'm not sure if it was her or if it was me (ok, it was me  ) but she was *easier* to hug this morning, like my arms could reach around her just a little bit more.  We're getting smaller!  And more huggable!  *hug*
