Sorbet Smoothie

Post by aaakppbbb »

I have discovered a great sorbet smoothie by accident.  I had made a smoothie for my kids one morning, and of course they didn't drink it all.  I put it in the freezer to save for later.  That evening I put it in the refrigerator to have for breakfast the next morning.  I added a little water & blended.  It was wonderful!  It was like a berry sorbet.  The smoothie has more thickness than making it regular.  Thank you, Roger for your wonderful book & recipes.

I can't wait to try this!  Our mornings are so rushed.  I never thought of freezing a smoothie ahead of time to make morning a"smoothie."  ;D

If you are rushed for time, you can "pre-package" your ingredients ahead of time.  Put your fruits together in a ziploc or foodsaver bag and then in the a.m., just put the contents of the bag in the blender and add some ice and juice.  OR freeze them altogether and just add juice.
