Hello.....
The other day I found Vanilla Pure Extract in a Mexican Grocery Store, no sugar.
Brand name:BADIA
Ingredients: Water, Alcohol, Extractives of Vanilla Beans
The label says: Badia Spices, Inc.
                      P.O. Box 226497
                      Miami, FL 33172-6497
2 fl. oz. (59mL)

It was $2.19

The Tones Pure Vanilla extract is also unsweertened and has the same ingredients as the Badia. I can't remember if I got it at Sam's or Wal-Mart. Probably Sam's

Wauquin,
Keep that extract on hand for next spring. Pure vanilla extract is a wonderful bug repellent when applied to the skin. Just takes a little. Apply in areas you would apply perfume

I just read the recipe for an orange vanilla smoothie and it had vanilla. I have never found vanilla without sugar added. Thank you for your post on your grocery find. I plan on trying the smoothie with my new vanilla. :)

I didn't know that vanilla had sugar added.  I'm going to have to check that!  Thanks for the heads up.

It was news to me.  I looked on both bottles, and one has corn syrup, and one has sugar.  What a surprise!!!  Thanks, JF

I just checked mine and they don't have sugar or corn syrup in them.  I had some root beer flavoring that had corn syrup in it so I tossed it.  Haven't used it lately and probably wasn't going to anyway.

I'm not tossing mine.  It is the last ingredient.  I've had the bottles a long time.  I'll have to get a new one without sugar.  I don't use vanilla that much.  I used to make a lot of sweets so used it then.  I use it in my coconut pudding, but it wasn't enough to start any cravings.  It is so cold here---school was out because of snow--slick roads.  JF

The differences may be between Vanilla flavoring and extract.
I prefer the extract.
It is always more concentrated flavor than the flavoring.
