Hi All,
Here is a healthy snack when you get the munchies

Lentil Crunchies

.

2¼ hours | 2 hours prep

2 cups

    1 cup lentils (not red)
    1 quart wate
    Olive Oil Spray
    1/2 teaspoon coarse salt
    1/4 teaspoon onion powder
    1/4 teaspoon curry powder
    1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper

  1. In 2-3 quart saucepan bring water and lentils to boil. Cover, remove from heat and let stand 15 minutes.
  2. Drain Spread out on paper towels to dry.
  3. Preheat oven 425°F.
  4. Line baking pan with sides with foil.
  5. Spray with Olive Oil Spray.
  6. Spread Lentils out on pan in single layer and spray with olive oil spray
  7. Bake in oven 10-15 minutes (some may require longer)
  8. Watch carefully, stirring often, til crisp.
  9. Combine salt and seasonings sprinkle over lentils and toss.
  10. Cool and store in airtight container.
        You may want to experiment with next batch using different seasonings (example: Chili powder)

Hi Galaxygal,

I read your recipe for Lentil Crunchies and I'm a Newbie.  Here are my questions.  Are the lentils from a can of lentils or dried lentils from a bag of lentils?  Also what is wate?

Lennie77 the wate is water...she just left off the r....and I believe she is talking about using the bag of lentils...
