Pizza on Garlic Crispbread

Post by Deb683 »

Made pizza using Kavli thin garlic crispbread. ( If think if you add garlic to your sauce you can use the Wasa light rye crispbread also.)
1/2 lb of lean ground beef
1/2lb. of lean ground chicken breast
1 jar of Newman's Own Spaghetti sauce or Sharon's Spaghetti sauce ( Make it thick).
I also add more italian spices and oregano to mine.
Stevia or Splenda just enough to sweeten the sauce a little.
Skim mozzarella or veggie mozzarella shredded.
Just layer on top of each crispbread slice with the spagetti sauce, oregano and shredded Mozzarella.
Place on a dish in the microwave.
Heat about 15 to 20 sec. or until cheese bubbles.
The good part is the garlic crispbread is so thin and crisp.
I think you'll be pleasantly surprised how close it is the real pizza.
Also you can add saute veggies on it. Leftover sauce makes great grilled Squash Lasagna
This is just a once in a while recipe for pizza cravings.

Pizza is so versatile! It a choice of your own, pick every toppings you want, put them on top of bread and that’s it. But of course don’t forget the pizza sauce and the cheese to make it taste more like a real pizza.
