Hummus

2 garlic cloves (finely chopped), less if that is your preference
1 15oz can of black beans rinsed and drained (any type of beans will work, whatever your preference)
juice of 1/2 lemon
1 T evoo (I usually use less with black beans)
1/4 to 1/2 t ground cumin (whatever your preference, I use 1/2 t)
1/4 to 1/2 t celtic sea salt (whatever your preference, I use 1/4 t))
dash of cayenne pepper
several grindings of pepper

I use a potato masher to mix. super easy and yummy.

* you can add ingredients to make any combination....roasted red peppers, fresh herbs, green onions, ect.
** my husband's co-worker will only eat this hummus and her husband sells hummus for a living.  :D

Thanks for the recipe.  And you do  it without a blender which may help others without one.  I have never done the hummus with black beans, but I will do it.  I love using hummus on my cornthins.   JF
