Seasoning When In a Hurry

Post by VickiLynn »

Don't have time to chop and saute fresh garlic cloves and/or onions?  Opt for using dried, powdered seasonings.

1 teaspoon onion powder equals 1/3 cup chopped onion
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder equals 1 garlic clove

Or, have this all-purpose spice mixture on hand for just about anything from eggs, popcorn, vegetables, chicken or beef.

1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon onion powder
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon Splenda
1 teaspoon paprika
Freshly ground pepper (to taste)

VickiLynn,
Thanks for the spice information. That's such a time saver.
