Recipe by JoAnna Lund-Grandma's Comfort Food Made Healthy
6 cups peeled & chopped fresh tomatoes
1 cup chopped onion
1 cup chopped green bell pepper
1/4 cup lemon juice
1/4 cup fresh parsley
1 teaspoon dried minced garlic
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1 cup (8-oz. can) Hunt's Sugar Free Tomato Sauce
In a large glass bowl, combine tomatoes, onion, and grrren pepper. Place 1 1/2 cups of tomato mixture in a blender container. Add lemon juice, parsley, garlic, black pepper and tomato sauce. Cover and process on Blend for 20 seconds or until mixture is pureed. Pour blended mixture into bowl with remaining tomato mixture. Mix well to combine. Cover and refrigerate at least 2 hours.
Note: Canned green chili peppers may be added
I havent made this yet but am going to next week and will post results then. I dont like "hot" salsa or hot foods as I cant take the "burn". Call me a wimp but no hot spicy for me.

Re: Garden Salsa
Hi there! This sounds yummy! I am in the mood for salsa and thought I would make Danita's Salsa from the book, but this is sure to be on my list to make next
