Packaged gravy mixes......

I don't know if they're allowed....but I use a prepared package gravy mix on Bill's Mashed potatoes and in LDL approved stews and still lose weight . The brand I use is Knorr (classic brown gravy) - fairly low in fat and carbs. Sure adds a great flavor!

I just thought I'd pass this along! Has anyone else used these packaged gravy mixes with weight loss success?

The ingredients for Knorr's Classic Brown Gravy:

Wheat Flour, Corn Starch, Salt, Sugar, Beef Fat, Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Yeast Extract, Monosodium Glutamate, Whey Protein Concentrate (from Milk)Caramel Color, Guar Gum, Onion Powder, Spices, Dextrose, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and Cottonseed Oils, Natural Flavor, Disodium Inosinate, Disodium Guanylate, Garlic Powder.

I wouldn't use it because it contains wheat flour, sugar, and loads of MSG.

Besides the ingredients that CQ mentioned, I wouldn't use it because of the Dextrose, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean and Cottonseed Oils.  And because I have no idea what Disodium Inosinate or Disodium Guanylate is that alone would make me not use it!  Even though this gravy mix is not interferring with your weight loss, it is effecting your health -- too many bad chemicals!

Dextrose is sugar; Hydrolyzed Soy Protein, Yeast Extract, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean/Cottonseed Oils and Natural Flavor are all other names for hidden MSG...therefore, it's loaded.
