Never fear, Mary! That is how my son smells in the summer .... sunscreen and sweat! He's 15, and when he is out and about in the summer, those are his scents. LOL!  Although, since he was working a lot this summer, he smelled like Mexican food most days from working at Qdoba.  ;D

My favorite smells, other than my hubby?
- Newborn babies
- Fresh baked bread (even though we can't eat it! LOL!)
- My son after he has showered, when he snuggles with me on the couch
- My daughter when she is all "foofy" .... (again, goes back to perfumes/colognes reminding you of people!)

The weird ones?
- Old books
- New magazines
- Crayons
- Leather (love it when my hubby wears his leather jacket!)

Ok, now you know the strange side of me.

I remember that gas smell from when I was a kid. I liked it too. It doesn't smell the same now.

my very favorite strange smell is the smell of rain on warm asphalt....I absolutely LOVE that smell

and the way my mom smells...like cigarettes and Vanderbilt cologne...it's weird I know...but I like it.

Ok 2 favorite smells for my hubby: Old Spice and Avon's Wild Country. Both are colognes that my dad used to wear and when my hubby wears them it sometimes takes me back to the days when dad was getting ready for church on Sunday morning.

Good morning all...

i was thinking about the smell of Egypt....it has it's own smell and it's wonderful.  It's a bit similar to the smell of my paternal grandmother's house...a comfortable clean smell...nothing musty about it...not like food....like maybe faded patchouli, but not really...maybe more like a faded incense called Jerusalem incense...that's really that combo of myrr and frankincense - you know, the incenses the three wise men brought as presents for baby Jesus (may peace and blessings be upon Him)....it's a wonderful smell.
God bless..

Can I put in my favorite smells?  Grilled onions.  Cinnamon rolls right out of the oven (my Mom made them every Saturday when I was a kid). Fresh mown grass or hay. Gardenia's. Like Mary, I love the smell of Coppertone. Vanilla. Freshly laundered sheets hung on the clothesline. I know there's more, but I don't want to bore you.

OK - I know I'm REALLY late with my reading, but when I saw these two, I just had to respond.....

and Tom, although they don't carry Silly Putty cologne, they do have things like Paint, Humidor, Sawdust, Dirt, Crayon and Glue....
oh, and Tori - they also have this one:

.........  hahaha - would we WANT anyone near us to smell like this??  LOL!

These can all be purchased at a place called The Perpetual Kid - www.perpetualkid.com - and no, I don't have any affiliation with them - It's just one of my favorite online stores!!  Unique and unusual things!

Yup - that pretty much describes me, too!  Strange and unusual!!  LOL!!  *woot*  (You did notice that I said that this particular online store is one of my favorite, right?  LOL!!)

But surpass my brother?  Hmmmm - No, I believe he has storehouse of things that he's yet to unveil!!!!!!!  But thank you for the compliment, as I do believe he's one of the most clever people I've ever run across...

I know when I've been beat .. My Sister rules !!

Speaking about cologne smells .. Love's Baby Soft is the perfume my first Girlfriend used to wear, and I always found that smell Heavily !!

And Jene Nate (sp) will always remind me of my mom. She LOVED that stuff !! My biggest thrill as a kid was being able to buy her a bottle of that for either her birthday or Mother's day (I think at the time it was $7.00 for a GALLON  ;)).

I wonder they make either one anymore.

My favourite smell,
Out in the sunshine on a warm summer day with the fragrance of fresh hay in the air. I guess it is hay . It is such a sweet and lilting smell.
