breakfast in paradise

Post by kristine13826 »

try this

1 papaya peeled and sliced
1 pint raspberries
sprinkle of flaked coconut

peel and slice the papaya
place on a pretty plate
add the raspberries
and sprinkle with a bit of coconut
enjoy!

the play of the sweet tart raspberries against the sweet ripe papaya really takes the *cake*!

Hi Kristine,

This recipe sounds yummo but coconut is a no no on LDL.  :)  Also, most of the time the flaked coconut is loaded with sugar.  I don't mean to be a party pooper but we would hate to see you get derailed before you even get started good.  *Hugs*

That combination sounds absolutely packed with magical vitamins and good taste. How about using a couple of thin strips of lemon peel on top of this. I got mixed berries once in a fancy restaurant and the thin threads of lemon zest, no white part, just yellow, added a nice zing to it. Needless to say , wash the lemons first, and maybe ideal to use organic lemons.
