Hi all!

Dr said it would be a very high risk surgery. Said he would try it because he felt I was physically fit and thought I'd be a good candidate as long as I understood all the risks involved with the clot. Then he talked about doing more chemo and radiation for a few weeks to see if the tumor will shrunk more as it is still considered large. So, guess that's the way we will go.. Then I'll have another CT scan to see if we made anymore progress. Right now I'm numb. So discouraged with all the road blocks we've had. He said he probably have to remove the upper lope of my lung and what ever ribs it's attached too. He will go in under my arm.. That's the next chapter of my nightmare...

Thanks for all your continued prayers,
Mary J

I wish this were only a nightmare for you, and that you could awaken healthy and cancer-free. I will pray that this all goes well and the nightmare will soon be a thing of the past. Thank God you are otherwise healthy and that you have such a great attitude.
Hugs- Pam

This is in 4 parts.
May be helpful in continuing to build up your body in preparation for surgery.
Been a while since I saw this, but pretty sure they mention Tumeric (curcumin) that will really help with the side effects of chemo. The host Dr. Richard Becker is a cancer survivor.

Hey Mary J,

I am a new member, but couldn't help reaching out to you in your difficulty. I have been at death's door more than once and lost my husband/daughter in an auto accident. May I say that the Lord is so good. He loves the sacrifice of praise and thanksgiving no matter how difficult the way or how hard it is to put one foot in front of the other. The Lord calls us to give thanks in everything. Somehow it lifts the difficulty and puts it in perspective. Even in the midst of terrible circumstances there is the peace of the Lord that flows in and through us. There is also the comfort that the Lord orders our days (Psalm 139:16). We will live all the days that the Lord gives us by His strength. He loves to give us His strength in our weakness and for this also we praise Him.

One of the things that helps in difficulties is to remember that the Lord's mercies are new every morning. At the dawn of each day, we thank Him for that and throughout the day we look for His mercies and kindnesses and there are many. As we look for God's hand in everything, that also lifts the terribleness of our circumstances.

As we gaze on Him and put ourselves in His care, we will be content with what He gives us in our life, whether good or hard providences. He is so good to us.
