Hello everyone,

We finally have a surgery date! It's next Thurs, July 3rd. Can't wait to get this tumor out of me! Praying they will be able to get it all. Surgeon thinks he may have to cut out a couple of ribs. Also they will remove the upper lope of my right lung.

I'm nervous but optimistic! I'll be in the hospital 5 to 7 days they said, depending on how things go. I've got many weeks of recovery, but looking forward to getting my life back. I'll keep you post as I can.

Thank you all so much for all your support and prayers!
Hugs,
Mary J

You are so courageous and an inspiration to us all. I remember in 1985 when I had thyroid cancer and had a modified radical neck dissection to have it removed and I tried to cover the scar with turtle necks and scarves. My friend said, "Don't hide them, they are battle scars! God has saved you." Our prayers are going up to the Almighty and He is surrounding you with His power excelling healing angels. With every breath you take, life giving oxygen is nourishing your body and soul, so breath deeply and feel the healing. We love you Mary. :ymhug: :-*

You will do fine. My aunt had part of a lung removed years ago for what they thought was TB.
She lived a long life and so will you.
Praying for the Lord to heal you even through the surgery.
Blessings and best wishes for the best Independence Day ever.

Thank you ladies! I've never had a major surgery before, so I'm a little stressed. One fear I have is waking up during surgery! Scary! I will happily go through all of this just to hear the words...We got it all!

Hope you all have a Happy 4th!
Hugs,
Mary J

Try to fall asleep in surgery with a calm attitude and pleasant thoughts. I know this sounds difficult/impossible, but you will wake up in a similar mental state to where you were when you went to sleep. You remain in my heart and prayers. We all look forward to hearing those words from you in the coming weeks!
Hugs- Pam
