Father Passed On Yesterday

Oh NJ, I'm very sorry to hear about your Dad.  No doubt he remains in your memory and in your heart.  It sounds so lonely to feel like an orphan.  Many cyber hugs to you dear one.  I'm glad you know God as your heavenly Father to help you through.  My prayers are with you and your extended family.

Well, as descendents of Noah, apparently my family must do everything two by two.
My father died almost 2 weeks ago. My cousin Terry died 2 days ago.
(Two years ago my father's older two brothers died within 3 months of each other.)

I am so weary of dealing with death.

I want to let you know you're in my prayers . . .

I imagine you may be overwhelmed
    because you've been dealing with so much lately,
    and maybe you've been wondering
    (as I've wondered at times in my life)
    how things are ever going to work out.

And I just wanted to remind you
    that although life brings many changes,
    God's love remains constant.

He's always there, guiding us through decisions
    and helping us do the hard things . . .
    always restoring in us a sense of hope and peace,
    no matter what we're facing.

And the most beautiful thing about God
    is that the more we need Him,
    the closer He is . . .

That's how I know He is especially close to you now.

Thank you for the compassion. 

We buried my cousin today.
It was heart-breaking hearing his little grandson sob through the whole funeral and burial.

On a slightly humorous note, all of us cousins have decided none of us can die anytime soon. We all need a break from the grief.

That's the way for the cousins to stick together! I'm glad you all could find something to make you smile amid the sadness. I'm also glad we can look forward to the day when there won't be any more separation of families because of death! Keep your faith strong, and keep your family close.

I had a rottie-boy named Scythe Jaxan Love. We called him Jack.
Due to a birth defect he only had one eye.
On a visit to his vet one day the doctor asked me if I was going to keep up with the boy's obedience training. I said yes. He said "Good! 'Cause I've heard one-eyed Jacks are wild."  LOL It was my own dog and I'd never even thought of that one!!!!
