Please pray for my son. He is 30 years old and has very bad back problems that the Drs just cant seem to fix. He is in constant pain and is on morphine every day. On top of this his wife died very unexpectedly from a medication her Dr had her on. God has used this for good because he has become a christian through this. I had been praying for this for a long time. Pray that God will direct his Drs to find a way to help him,

Prayers going up right now for you son.  God can do all things, as he is the one that made our bodies, so if he wants he can fix them and make them new....

Praying for your son. Is he eating LDL along with you? The biggest part of my job right now is giving steroid and pain shots to people, and sorting out requests for pain pills to the doctors. So sad. Getting off all processed foods will help with the pain as Gwen can attest. DH and I both have not had to to take Motrin for aches and pains in quite a while.

You know.. I only started back on LDL in April and I find that I don't have the pain in my knee that I did. I even had a prob getting up the steps when coming home from work and now that is gone. Its really amazing how such simple changes in ones life can make such a big difference.
I will pray for your son that he may find the peace of being pain free.
Hugs...Kathie in Fl.

Lord please help this young Christian to find a closer walk with you and help him to find the answer to his pain. Guide his doctors, Lord and give them your Mind so that this young man can fulfill the call you have on his life. In Jesus' name, Amen.

A New Me
I don't know if it can help but here is what I had done yesterday.  I have been in so much pain for years in my back but have refused pain medication because of fear of getting hooked. It meant I couldn't stand for long periods of time and even sitting caused a certain amount of pain.  I went to a specialist that ran lots of tests and decided the best route for me was to have the nerves burned on both sides.  I had the right side done yesterday and will have the other side done in 2 weeks.
The nerves grow back in a year or two so may have to be done again but I am praying it will be worth it.  I will have to wait for a week or so for the swelling to subside before knowing how well it has taken care of the pain.

My prayers are with your son for wisdom from his doctors to know what will be best for him.

Having worked in medicine for more years than I want to admit, I have not seen any medical therapy really do much for back pain. But now that Wendy shared what she did, I rmember hearing a doctor here just a few weeks ago raving about Lidocaine patches. Lidocaine is a numbing anesthetic. The patch is applied locally, I think he was using it for a torn muscle in his leg but it may work for back pain also. It probably has less side effects and may be more effective than other treatments.

Husband used to have terrible back pains from an old injury and the only med that helped him was Feldene....don't think it is even prescribed now, but he found out later that using suspenders and not having his belt so tight stopped the back pain altogether. He has not had an episode in years. Don't know if this is helpful in anyway but thought I would throw it out there.
