I have been on LDL since May 6th. I have been following the plan as best I can but did go off a few days due to commitments. I'm having a smoothy each morning with a little protein powder and coffee with light powdered creamer or FF half & half, baby carrots and/or fruit as a morning snack, lean protein/salad/beans/veggies/fruit for lunch, approved soups/fruit/corn/beans/veggies for dinner. I feel really good and have noticed a slight change in how my clothes fit, which is good. My question is...is there a moment where your body starts to release the weight? I know we shouldn't weigh ourselves for the first month, but the scale is very tempting! I hope my question makes sense.

Andrea,
Unless you need the protein powder for medical reasons, I would leave it out and just enjoy all the natural goodness of the fruit. The powdered creamer probably has sugar/sugar substitutes/additives that your body doesn't need. We also recommend Stevia products if you like it sweet. I would use fat free skim milk instead of the FF half & half. Everything else looks wonderful. I'm glad you put your scale away. One less thing to stress about. Welcome to the LDL family. So glad to have you with us.

Yes, you can use Splenda if that's what you prefer. Just remember that too much artificial sweetener can cause cravings just like sugar does. Experiment with the different sweeteners. You'll find one that works for you and if it happens to be Splenda...got for it!
