What machine do you use to make popcorn flour?
I have been using my magic bullet to make my popcorn flour but it always turns out like cornmeal instead of flour. How is everyone getting their popcorn to turn into flour, I want to know the best machine so I can go out and buy one!!
Thanks,
Tina

I haven't tried the popcorn flour yet, but can I do it in small amounts in a regular blender. I can't afford the Vita Mix thingy.

I made my popcorn flour in a regular blender and it worked great.
I wonder what the shelf life is for popcorn flour.

Does the Vita-Mix really have a grinder attachment? I was going to get one for my Kitchen Aid stand mixer but if the Vita-Mix has one I will check into getting it. I made the best soup with my Vita-Mix. I used a stalk of celery, a carrot, a roma tomato, a piece of green pepper, a small piece of jalapeno~ , some green cabbage, Mexican seasonings and water. I heated it in the Vita-Mix. Then blended on low - pinto beans, corn and a couple of olives (just a couple) for a second or two. Then I sprinkled on a little bit of FF cheese and broke up a couple of corn thins in it like they were tortillas. It was fabulous.

Hi Mary,
I invested in the dry blade container for the vitamix. It is well worth the money. I grind oatmeal into a fine flour and popcorn into a fine flour. Pre LDL I would grind a lot more kinds of grains too. I even grind raisin bran cereal for molly. Then into wet container add her formula and a banana and the ground cereal and down here feeding tube it goes. So There you go.

Thanks for clearing that up Mary. I couldn't find a meat grinder to go on my Vita-Mix and now I know why. I have the dry container and will use it for the popcorn flour and go with my original plan to get a meat grinder for my Kitchen Aid mixer.

I checked out the Vitamix but you have to be rich to buy this thing! I would love to have one but that will never happen with our income!

Hey Mary it sounds like we both love the kitchen gadgets . My DH says I have not ever met a gadget I didn't like, and I love my VitaMixer !
You are right Tina they are steep , but last forever . Have had mine for around 15 years, so when you break it down it is no more than others I had replaced before (more than 5 ).
