water

Post by Somerville »

Hi everyone.  I like to drink water but sometimes I want a little flavour so I put about a cup of unsweetened, fresh grapefruit juice into a one liter bottle.  I also sometimes put a little seltzer in as well and fill the rest of the bottle with water.  It is very refreshing and thirst quenching as well.      Eileen

Eileen, my husband and I live in Florida and he's a commercial plumber and spends a great deal of time out in the heat. Here is a few ideas that he's come up with over the years.

Lemon juice/Lime juice
Cranberry juice/grapefruit juice
Peppermint extract
Fresh mint leaves
Fresh cucumbers
Powdered unsweetened jello
Rootbeer extract

Then he uses stevia to taste.
