Flaxseed
Good Morning Everyone,
I was reading my monthly Medical Journal and there was an article about flaxseed..not flaxseed oil. It was talking about a study that they did where women were given 1/8 to 3/8 of a cup of ground flaxseed. This was used in smoothies, etc. They found that women that took ground flaxseed everyday had a lower BMI than women who didn't. Has anyone even taken this, and if so, did you notice a difference?
I do know that flaxseed is as healthy as olive oil but you cannot cook with it. I also know it's 100% natural fiber unlike Metamucil, etc.

Re: Flaxseed
Flaxseed is high on Omega-3-fatty acids
One hundred grams of ground flax seed supplies about 450 kilo-calories, 41 grams of fat, 28 grams of fiber, and 20 grams of protein
Flaxseed may also lessen the severity of diabetes by stabilizing blood-sugar levels. if you use whole flaxseed it will go indigested through the body coz of
its dietary fibre...

Re: Flaxseed
Very interesting - i would like to see what conclusion is deriven from this question... I today bought some ground flaxseed since I have heard, read, etc soo much about it's benefits. Since the book is in the mail I completely forgot that seeds were a nono! .. I wonder if we're allowed to consume some of this seed?

RandomRaff,
I don't think it's going to be approved by RT since LDL doesn't allow seeds.

LP,
They're beautiful dogs. My husband's parents breed them. I don't think I could do that. I get too attached to animals especially when they're babies. I wouldn't want to give them up and I'd end up with more animals than the animal shelters.
