Hi teab39,

Yes, you can have them. Just make sure before you buy anything to read the labels. Some of the products will have added sugar among the ingredients. For example, V8 Splash has added high fructose corn syrup...A big NO! NO!

Thanks for responding CQ,
I have just a couple quick questions: can u see my pic I posted, or is it just my computer I cant see it?
About the V8 juice, I am sitting here reading the can and it says there is no sugar in the list of ingredients; however, on the back of the can under the Nutrition Facts, it says there are 11g of sugar and the Total Carbohydrates are 14g. how can this be if there is no added sugar?
is it from the beets, tomatoes, carrots -- maybe???
thanks again in advance

The sugar that is listed on the nutritional facts is naturally occuring sugar in the ingrediants. This is OK. The sugar you want to look out for is added sugar, fructose anything with ose on the end is some form of sugar.

Edith,

Welcome!  We are happy to have you join us in this amazing way of life.

Any fresh or frozen (not ones with butter or sauces) vegetable is allowed and canned also, but please remember that canned veggies have a lot of salt in them.  I buy a lot of canned veggies because they are cheaper than frozen but only use them if I run out of frozen.  When I do use a canned veggies I drain and rinse them and then put back in the pot on the stove on a very low heat. I season the veggie with a Mrs. Dash product and one of the LDL acceptable butters (I Can't Believe It's Not Butter or Smart Balance Light) and heat them just until they are hot again.

mrsj she had a different picture up, and then I guess she tried to put her picture, and it did not work.  Like me, for some reason I can't get mine to load either.

It may be the size of the picture. I had changed mine about a week ago and I tried several times with one pic and could not get it to show. I didn't have the time to save and resize the pic so I just tried a different one.

Scarlett859, Gwen resized mine and put on the gallery, but I can't get it from there to my post.  I have followed the instruction, but so far nothing....

I also like to heat my V8 vegetable juice up for a nice and warm quick snack.    With a little popcorn too & it's like having tomato soup with added benefits :-)

I can see your picture too!  Nice to "see" you.  You'll have so much fun on LDL you won't want to go back to your old way of eating.  The recipes are fantastic -- my husband says they are some of the best he has ever tasted!
