Welcome Tiffany,

Think of this as an unprosessed WOE (Way of Eating).
All grains (other than corn) has to be broken and "processed in order to be digested.
So it basically eliminates all breads, cereals, pastas and anything with flour (especially wheat).
But in exchange for giving up all those fattening ingredients, you get to eat an abundance of all the wonderful foods in their whole form.
All fruits, veggies and legumes are eaten in abundance.

For weightloss purposes, nuts and seeds are avoided because of their high caloric fat content.
But each person's body responds differently to individual foods so you will need to adapt this to your own personal metabolism.

Be sure and try new foods, the boards are full of interesting recipes.
And be sure to post any difficulties you may experience.
This is generally such a huge leap from the way most of us used to eat, that adapting to cooking foods intead of opening boxes or packages, can be difficult.
There is always someone here willing to offer help and support.
And of course we really want to cheer you as you reach your goal.

Tell us a little about yourself here. We would love to get to know you:

I am excited to eat this way!  I am a little nervous about the time consumption that some recipes may take.  Linda thank you for helping me out so much!! ;D

I think you have to post 10 times, and then you should be able add the photo.

Linda will be able to help you out at any rate, and you are right, she is wonderful!

Further to your concern about the length of time that you may have to spend cooking, I don't find that for myself. I will usually have fruit for breakfast, for lunch I may have a something like a fried egg sandwich on corn thins, and I always have my protein meal at dinner (although it is recommended that you have it at lunch time )
Today I grilled chicken breasts, and had roasted veggies, along with a tossed green salad. I may have an apple later, or some popcorn.

I also recommend checking with Linda about the photo - I needed her help - I think it is a little complicated.  I loaned my book out but will try to get it back for you  :D

Most of the recipes on here don't take any more time that 'normal' recipes that are full of fat and sugar and junk!! :)

Love this WOE!! (Way of Eating)
