Also, rinsing the beans until the water runs clear and the foam is gone seems to take care of the problem at our house! Pam

At our house too for canned beans. For dried beans I put them in a large soup pot, cover them with 2 inches of water, bring the beans to a boil and boil for 2 minutes. Take the pot off the heat, cover and let sit for an hour. Then drain and rinse the beans. This will take care of the stuff in the beans that cause all that gas.

That works for me. My Mom always did that. She usually put a spoon of soda in the first boil. Our stomachs adjust to the beans. I have never used Beano. My digestive system feels so wholesome with LDL foods. JF
