Country Girl's Birthday
After church we celebrated Country Girl's birthday. We had a delicious LDL meal with other things. All have gone, because everyone is busy. This is the last week of school. I will go back to Church this evening, because we are having a 7 church choir sing at our church. My hubby is in the choir. It should be wonderful. I'm going to take a nap, because I got up early to fix lunch, then went to church. Have a wonderful Sunday--what is left of it! Joyful Friend

Re: Country Girl's Birthday
Country Girl (Lou Ann),
Didn't see this post until this morning as Ron and I were in Connecticut to celebrate my grandniece's 1st birthday yesterday. Not only was it a special day for our little Sophia, but I got to visit with my sister (Sophia's grandma) and her husband who drove 7 hours to CT from Maryland for the party. We had a wonderful time and I hope your special day was just as memorable! HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY -- Vicki
P.S. Is grandneice the right word for the daughter of my niece?

Re: Country Girl's Birthday
VickiLynn, I always say great nephew or great niece, but I really don't know what is actually correct. It could very well be grand niece. I call the kids of my former students grand students! I tell them I'm their grand teacher! I never had kids of my own, although now I have two step kids. Those former students were like kids to me, though, over the years. My step daughter was also a former student.

Re: Country Girl's Birthday
I just found this thread. I've been very busy with closing out school this year. We are moving to a new building in the fall. My old building will be torn down this month. There will also be a lot of changes in our building next year. It was very emotional for me, as I've been there for 29 years!!!
Thank you for all of the birthday wishes -- it was a great day. I'm looking forward to what the Lord has in store for me this year!
