Please pray for my mom...
I am new here and hate to be asking already.....but could people pray for my mom? She is suffering many health issues. She has been in a hospital or extended care facility for the past 8 weeks. It started with heart problems and kidney failure. She got a pace maker, which was very successful for her, heart and kidneys functioning fine now. But, many other complications have slowed her coming home. She makes 2 steps forward in her recovery only to relapse and go back 3. My dad has been through so much. They have been married 59 years and the separation from each other is very hard for them. Thank you so much for lifting them up in prayer! Kathie

You don't even know me and yet you are praying. This means so much to me....thank you from the bottom of my heart! I offer each food I give up as a prayer for my mom. But, this diet is so easy, it does not seem like I am giving up much. God knows my heart. May God bless all those who lift up my mom and dad in prayer. Their names are Wanda and Don.

Re: Please pray for my mom...
Praying for you in Utah. My mom is kind of going through the same thing. She has an appointment with a heart specialist on Thursday because she also needs a pace maker. She is 90 and my dad is 92. A couple of years ago my dad had open heart surgery to replace a valve that had worn out. He is doing great now. My parents have been married 71 years. It is very hard like you say when you don't live near. My parents live about 11 hours away although I can get cheap flights out of Las Vegas. I don't know what my dad would do if my mom didn't make it through this. I don't think he knows how to open a can of soup. My mom has always done everything for him. May God's greatest blessings be on your parents.

Re: Please pray for my mom...
I will add them to my prayer list. Can you give me their first names.
I have been married to the same angel for 34 years. The Bible says that two become one when married. So like your dad I would only be half complete is someting happened to her. Just remember that the Lord is in-charge and we must look toward Him.

Thank you all so much for the kind prayers! I hope people caught my parents names....Don and Wanda. God is in charge....but He tells us to ask for what we want. I want my mom to be able to come back home to live with my dad. Thank you for continuing to agree with me in prayer for this. God bless!

Re: Please pray for my mom...
My mom continues to struggle.....10 weeks now in the hospital or extended care facility. The thing that upsets me the most is that now she is getting mixed up. Her mind was strong at the beginning of this and all through this ordeal, until about 2 weeks ago. My dad thought it was a certain medication. But, they took her off it and there was little improvement. Her mental confusion really worries my dad. Thank you all for continued prayers.

Re: Please pray for my mom...
Thanks mom! I was just talking to dad today and he is so blue. The sadness in his voice was very upsetting. The went to see a special neurologist and he offered no real change in prognosis or therapy. She may be experiencing many small strokes a day causing her problems. Heaven help us! Lord have mercy!
