Katie,

Roger recommends the Polaner brand because it is sweetened with fruit juice.  I buy it all the time and it has great flavor with no artifical sweetner aftertaste.

Hi Kat.

I haven't noticed the stevia sweetened jellies from Smuckers. It sounds great, as stevia is a natural plant product. It does not trick your body into thinking it is getting refined sugars, which causes a release of insulin and that later causes a dive in blood sugar level and makes you really hungry.

I'll watch for it next time I shop. It sounds like an excellent ingredient for a fruity vinaigrette salad dressing. Berries and greens go so well together this time of year!

Thanks for bringing it up and letting us know some manufacturers are listening to those of use who are looking for healthy foods!

Have a great day.

Terri- Katie lives over near where Smuckers is made.  Maybe she is getting a test market product.  I haven't seen it in this part of Ohio.  Sounds great, though.  Stevia and Truvia are similar products.  Pam

Most stevia is just the extract of the stevia plant. In Truvia, the extract is further broken down and the chemica that tastes bitter is removed.
Truvia also contains erythritol (a sugar alcohol like xylitol).
So Truvia is more "processed" but does not have as much after-taste and other artificial sweeteners.
Still can't do even Truvia in coffee, LOL.
But I would bet it would be great in fruit jellies and jams.
I would definitely have to try any black rasberry jelly when they make it.

THE SMUCKERS SIMPLY FRUIT IS WHAT I USE. THE BLUEBERRY IS MY FAVORITE. IT IS SWEETENED WITH FRUIT SYRUP FROM APPLE,PINEAPPLE OR PEAR JUCE CONCENTRATE. IT IS VERY GOOD, IF YOU HAVEN'T HAD IT IT'S A MUST TRY. ENJOY  WITHER
