Am I doing something wrong

Post by ebeth »

I have been reading through the recipe messages. Sometimes someone has posted a link to a recipe in a different recipe.
When I click on the link it always takes me back to the board index and not to the link message.
Just wondering if this is because of the new board - or is it something I need to change on my computer?
Thanks for any help

Can you copy one of those links into a message here so I can check it?

Hello Linda
Thanks for your reply.
Here you go - it almost seems like the links maybe didn't survive the transition :-s

The link did not copy correctly.
What was it you were trying to look at?
A description might help me get you to what you want.

Well I decided to go to any topic and look for a link and you are right!
I clicked on a link and it took me back to the board index!
Here is the link I tried in case any administrators are monitoring:
http://www.letsdolunch.com/boards/index ... pic=1002.0

I thought maybe your link, Elizabeth, was to a picture that had originally been uploaded in the gallery.
The gallery has not been restored.
But the link I clicked on appeared to go to a topic.
However, when I copied it and pasted the link I found here when I preview it, it looks like what you posted: ending with index....pic=1002.0 which is not the way the link read. Maybe it was the spammers that goofed it up.
So, at any rate, it is not your computer.
The new boards apparently are still under construction.

LOL Thanks Linda
I wanted to make sure it wasn't something with my computer; and as you can see I did find that the link doesn't copy correctly.
In some of the messages a poster will mention that they liked a recipe; so then I would search for the recipe on the recipe board; the results usually contained a link; which was why I was asking the question :)

That can be a real problem then, Elizabeth, especially if the poster doesn't describe the recipe.
You can usually do a search within the recipe topics although the search brings up a lot of comments.
If there is something in particular you are looking for, ask the question and I am sure someone will recognize it and post it for you.

Here is a link to a recipe that some members have had trouble finding:

Let me know if this link works for you.
