FINALLY!!! ONEDERLAND AGAIN!!!!

Post by Ginny M. »

Well, it's almost been a year since I got into Onederland by a few pounds.  It lasted a month or so then back into Twoterville.  Well, after a 2 week Candida cleanse, I have dropped 10 pounds in a month and feel that I am back into Onederland to stay (even if I gain a couple pounds as I occasionally do and loose them again).  I was skeptical about the Candida cleanse and it was a challange to eat the cleanse food that was also LDL friendly but I did it.  Prior to the cleanse I was craving popcorn, corn, salt and beans.  Some have lost 10-lbs + over the 2 weeks, I only lost about 4.  But since then, THE CRAVINGS ARE GONE!  :D  I no longer crave the popcorn, corn or salt (chocolate cravings were already gone with LDL).  I eat them occisionally but no GOTTA HAVE ITs  :D  *woot*  The weight is also coming off like most of the people doing LDL (I never lost a lot, just slow going).  But it is now coming off.  I also get filled up faster with less food.  My gas problem is also gone so I no longer need the 4-oz. Activia yogurt every day.  :D

Wendy,
What I have also is senna. I thing what Ginny used was a whole system of diet restriction plus probiotics plus diet elimination of all sugars to get rid of what is fgeeding the yeast. I found the probiotics and the senna works as well. I have also used the Super Dieter's tea occasionally that has cascara in it.

Ginny- Congratulations on returning to Onderland.  I'm just over the crest of the mountain looking at Onderland, but not quite there.  It must be a beautiful place.  Pam

Linda,

Please elaborate on the whole yeast issue and what you use to combat it.  I have been noticing signs of yeast in my body and I was sure it was from eating so many corn products.....which i really love!  What type  probiotics do you use?  And any other advise or ideas to keep the yeast from mass producing.  Thanks so much!! Wendy,

I did a web search for "candida cleanse". Here is a link that I found to be really interesting:

Tia,
When we first heard about probiotics it was from a Dr. Becker who did a nutrition show on TV. We ordered his Probiotics (Probiotic Plus) and it really made a difference. DH got off of the Zantac and we were even able to crush them for the grandbabies who would get excoriated after rounds of antibiotics for ear infections. Trying to supply 3 adults and 2 kids with this "Probiotic Plus" got pricey so started getting what I could on sale at the Health Food Center in town. I would look for the most number of colonies for the least price. Most have to be refigerated. I have used so many can't think of all the brands. Then DH had a flare up of Seborrhea and he quit all supplements because he was not sure what caused it. In retrospect, nothing he was taking probably caused it. Once he cleared up I want back to Dr. Becker's brand because they do not have to be refrigerated. Don't take them every day. I usually take 2 once a day when I notice yeast-y places cropping up or if I start getting "gassy". I take them for 2-3 days past when all symptoms are gone. Probably as important as the probiotics is cutting out the sugar that the yeast feeds on. For us, the probiotics really made a huge difference in feeling healthy again.

I started taking the Colon Klenz when I decided to try those amazing adds about Acai berry and colon klenz together. Neither did much for major weight loss but sometimes I could tell that I was just not emptying like I should so I would use some of that Colon Klenz. It is just a gentle stool softener/laxative. Recently I made the connection between feeling really sluggish and lethargic and no energy to times when I was not moving the bowels like I should. For now I am taking a couple capsules a day and it really helps. Don't want to be dependent on them so plan to use them on the short term until my body readjusts to the smaller me and when I can get more exercise.

I know this may be too much info...hope it helps....just my experience....nothing really scientific. Coding Queen probably is a better source than I.

Thanks so much, Linda.  This was very informative and I am now convinced I need to get some probiotics and I also need to have my 8 year old take some as well.  So does anyone know if the sugar from fruit intensifies yeast growth?  Thanks again!

It definitely does not as much as refined sugar. I would avoid some of the sweeter fruits or limit the amount for a bit. Definitely don't be drinking fruit juice. The beans will help move the yeast out. You don't have to avoid the fruit totally, but I would back off a little and increase as symptoms go away.
