CAN OLD LADIES LOSE WEIGHT?

Post by coryell »

They say the older you get metabolism slows down, think mine has stopped.  I am 84 years old and it is hard.  I understand the LDL way very well.  I plan a veggie soup with venison for lunch.  Bean soup as an alternate.
Breakfast is barley green in the LDL smoothie.  1/2 grapefruit extra.  Dinner is the same with fresh pear or frozen berries.  Love the frozen grapes for later.
THREE days and no weight loss, probably just getting ready to loste.  I still like fake coffee with creamer in midafternoon.  Do I have hope?

Hi, I sent you an email that maybe will help you rev up your metabolism.  I think eating the LDL way will not only help you lose weight, but will make you feel so much younger than your 84 years.  My mom, who I care for in our home, is also 84 yrs. old.  With her recent surgeries and the effects of years of diabetes, she is also suffering from moderate dementia.  I used to say mild dementia, but lately I think it is a little worse.  Hope my information helps you!

Coryell- Anyone, at any age can lose weight following the principles of LDL.  I am 63 and have done well, if somewhat more slowly than those "young folks!"  You will also feel better and have less aches and pains as this way of eating is anti-inflammatory.  Just try it.  You have nothing to lose but excess weight!  Pam

Coryell, I thought I would never lose. I am 70, and I feel so much younger on LDL.  Follow  the principles of LDL, the weight will come off.  Be sure you check with your doctor.  God has blessed you already with 84 years, and if you are overweight now, you will be blessed more from LDL eating.  I admire your attitude.  :D JF

I am soon to be 69 and had no problem steadily losing the weight I wanted to lose.  Are you eating until you are full/stuffed?  Sometimes when one eats too little, the body goes into starvation mode and you don't lose weight.  By increasing the amount of food you eat, you trick your body into thinking that it needs to lose what you are putting into it.  Sounds goofy, but it does work -- at least for me it did.

It almost sounds to good to be true.  I am 76 and have faught my weight most of my life mostly counting calories, but cravings have caused me to binge more often.  I am hoping eating LDL will elimenate the cravings in time.

We haven't heard back from coryell.  I hope she's trying the ldl way of eating.

Patapples -- it really does sound too good to be true!  Yet, I've been walking around in this slender body for close to a year now.  It is true and it is sustainable!  That is real success -- not just to lose the weight, but to maintain the weight loss!  God bless your efforts.  Eat until full and find some LDL foods that you can just love so much they truly satisfy you.  You really do need to eat to get rid of those cravings.
