Hello!
I just started reading "Let's Do Lunch" this morning, and decided to come join the community! I've been searching for a way to lose weight, be healthy, and not follow any fad diets. I've been reading in the Bible where it talks about how the Lord gave us all the fruits and vegetables to use as our food sources, (Gen. 1:29), and this book really just simply goes along with what the Lord has already laid out for us. How wonderful!
I'm hoping to not only lose weight, but to be able to make some new Christian friends, and then hopefully motivate my friends and family to lose weight with this as well.
I look forward to meeting you all, and please, if you have any tips for a "newbie" just starting out, I would greatly appreciate them! (:
Love in Christ ~

Re: Another New Face! (:
Thanks for the welcome, Roger! (:
I do have a question though ... I'm not sure I have the latest edition of your book. I keep seeing references here on the board about the new version of the book and what has changed, so I'm slightly confused. How do I know which version I have?
For example, in the book I am reading, it says, "Don't eat in-between meals unless you are extremely hungry", but I keep seeing references here on the website about eating as much as you want, whenever you want, as long as they are the right foods.
I'm not a very big eater, (and my doctor says that is the reason I have gained weight ... my body went into starvation mode, basically), and that I need to eat many smaller meals throughout the day instead of eating once a day at dinner. However, my husband has a larger appetite, and I know that fruit doesn't last very long in the morning. (He's joining me in this journey as well)
Anyway, all of this to ask, how do I know if I have the right version of your book? I would hate to get started and then find out that I need to change some things right off the bat. LOL!

Re: Another New Face! (:
I am reading, and re-reading!
I have actually found this to be very easy to adjust to. It was hard at first making myself eat in the mornings, but as I get my daily dose of fruits, I am loving it! I already feel so much better, as does my husband. We have begun to make different types of fruit smoothies, and even my son (who is almost 13 and naturally thin) is excited to have smoothies in the morning. He said he would much prefer to have a smoothie before school than anything else. (:
I will definitely be purchasing more books to give to my friends and loved ones. Even if they are not overweight, this is simply a healthier way to live, and I am very excited to share this with them. Thank you for pointing my family in the right direction. I truly believe God has used you, and will continue to use you and your testimony, to help many, many people. How wonderful to be a "tool" for God! May you be greatly blessed in the coming year!
