TODAY'S THE DAY.......GOAL!!!!!

I can't believe I went on vacation for 12 days and came back with a lb weight loss. That's never happened to me before.

Good for you, you have to feel great Ollie. Another one made it. Linda, you will be there too, as I am typing this one of the daycare kids just gave me a box of See's candy. Got to freeze it fast! This is a constant battle. We do know how to win. No loss this week, but still going on. Everyone have a good week, gone to take care of this CANDY FAST.

I am happy to report I was able to loose the 3 pounds I gained last week so I am back at 175 this week. Now with warmer weather, I need to start making smoothies again.

Congrats Linda...You are doing so awesome. I am still here.. reading and catching up with everyone. I think I am back in control now so will continue to be here, usually on Mondays to give my loss...and I am sure I will have some along the way. This is the year for so many of us. Sometimes little slips make you realize how important this way of life really is and how it really takes control of your system to make it function properly. I am going to try to get back to my walking in the mornings before work again since life has settled back down. I have been very lazy. I did notice that I would have leg and knee aches when off LDL. Its not very pleasant. Now that I am back to LDL this aches and pains have gone once more. I have heard this over and over again.

Well, I got one of the very nicest compliments today. A nurse from a satellite clinic came to work with us while they restore their clinic from broken sewer lines that backed up. She was checking in a patient who was having BP problems and wanted to loose weight. I began talking LDL to the patient while this nurse listened in. I gave the patient the first magazine article and the nurse then confided that when she first saw me the other day, she noticed the dramatic weight loss and said she figured I had done the Gastric Bypass like everyone else! I was walking on air, happy to report I acheived this without anything so drastic.

A side note, she also has lost a bunch of weight and she said she had been giving up one "white" food each week. For example, this week was no potatoes, the next week may be no wheat, the next no sugar. I assured her she can give it all up and never miss it on LDL. Hoping she will join me.

First Magazine did an article about Let's Do Lunch featuring Mary and Julie. I never saw it until getting on the boards and a member, Marga (Musica Maniac) scanned it and posted it. I posted it on the Lets Do Lunch Facebook Site.
